Dearest Jessica..My Journey of life

Being a wife is extremely difficult at times. Submission is a daily effort. Working through issues takes hours of hard word. However, I am always amazed at the journey that God takes me on in my marriage. Nathaniel and I have been through financial hardship, loss, infertility and infidelity. Through it all my faith has been strengthened. Each day I am more and more grateful that I believe in the God of the universe.

Becoming a mother has been a long process. As we began the process of waiting for Abbie, I learned a great deal about patience. I didn't realize how grateful I would be for that lesson, once my little girl arrived. After thirty hours of labor, it's been a crazy ride every since! Each day she teaches me more about Christ. I know how much I love her, and I know God loves her even more! Because of her I need to act out my belief. There is no do as I say, not as I do rule, when trying to teach someone how we should live our life. I also know that I have to believe and trust God, that one day she will also be a believer.

Being and active member of the body of Christ has made the largest impact on me. I became a believer in the body. The body has taught me how to have faith and worship, who I believe in. It is often difficult to remain an active member of the body of Christ. Just as in marriage and motherhood, you see the good and the bad. There was a time when I didn't trust anyone in the body. Today, I know we are all hurting and growing, and still in the process of becoming a better believer.
