After the last little gathering Abbie was totally convinced that I DO all the fun stuff while she is at school. Since she had a school Holiday the next week we invited all the cousins over and did everything again!
We decided to try and "carve" pumpkins this time. I really should never do this with out my husband around, but he has been busy at work so I just bit the bullet...all in the name of tradition!
Josh was pretty grossed out and refused to touch it. He ask to go to bed instead. Because I am a good mom and I wanted pictures I refused to let him have any of the special treats until he tried it. Eventually I got busy and he sneaked out of the room with a chocolate covered marshmallow!
I found this cute little face pieces, the kids liked making the Pumpkin into a Mr.Potato head.

Since the kids had the whole day off from school I ignored the chores of the day and sat and did crafts with them. At the end of the day I had a tired body, but a full heart!
And sometimes....the mess is worth it!

Like I said previously, You Rock at all things crafty and my kids are so grateful to have people who will fill the gaping hole I have in that area! Just send your kids this way if you ever want them to look out a 10 story window or play on a balcony :)
